Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled trailer

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled trailer shows off customization and new characters

A new Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled trailer was dropped off today. The video showcases the game’s customization options while also giving players a look at the some of the new characters.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled comes with a number of options for players to customize their characters and their karts. The trailer shows that players can change a kart’s body, paint job, and wheels. They can also further customize their motor carriages with a number of decals and stickers.

In addition to the karts, players can also customize their characters with a number of “N. Sane skins.” Among the many skins and outfits spotted in the trailer are ballet tutus, scuba gear, a french musketeer costume, and more. In fact, the trailer actually opens with Fake Crash, who returns from Crash Nitro Kart, dressed up as a bumpkin while riding a kart made to look like a classic American hot-rod.

Speaking of Crash Nitro Kart, a number of the characters from that game are coming to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as well. As part of this, the trailer shows off some of the customization options available to them: Doctor N. Gin looks particularly tasteful in that ballet tutu. Additionally, the trailer also shows some of the custom podium animations for each unique skin.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled represents the first Crash Bandicoot kart racer since 2005’s Crash Tag Team Racing. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that the developers want to put in as many characters as they can. This alone should please fans who haven’t played the games in awhile.

More importantly however, the kart customization and character skins show that the development team is doing its best to pack the game full of modern-era features. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled isn’t just a remake like 2017’s Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Instead, this is a full on sequel to the Crash Team Racing series.
