Sony Revealing New Games This Week, Could Be Gran Turismo 6

Can you feel that in the air? It's that unexplainable sensation of knowing E3 is right around the corner, and new games are about to be revealed. Some, sooner than expected.

On the weekly PlayStation Blog recap, SCEE manager Fred Dutton has stated that's he got a busy week ahead of him, due to some new game announcements. In the past, Sony has used the weeks ahead of E3 to announce new titles to get some early exposure going, and trim the amount of time needing to be spent on some games ahead of their big conference. Such games receiving the pre-E3 treatment include last year's announcements of PS All-Stars, and God of War: Ascension—both of which were revealed in April.

And already, we have an idea of what one of the games might be. According to the official Gran Turismo website, it's getting a makeover and relaunching on May 8th—only two days away, which if you majored in mathematics, falls within "this week".

Coincidence? I think not. But it's no confirmation, either. Whatever it is—GT6, or something unexpected—we'll be covering it the moment it happens. Plus, we'll be covering all that E3 jazz the week of and leading up to the big event.
