New Spies Vs Mercs Trailer Details Splinter Cell Blacklist Multiplayer

"I've got movement." "Where?" "Everywhere" *dies*

Yeah, that's pretty much Splinter Cell multiplayer in a nutshell. The competitive mode with firepower-toting Mercenaries on one side and stealthy-takedown artist Spies on the other side will return in Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

The trailer above shows off the tools and tricks each side will have at their disposal, including mines, guns, explosives, and of course shadows if you're a spy. The game mode detailed here revolves around spies trying to hack data and mercenaries trying to not wet their pants. You can see some of the spies using their agility and speed to out-maneuver the mercs, but do stun guns and high-tech camouflage mean a thing when someone chucks a grenade at your face?

That's the first things I'll try to figure out when Splinter Cell: Blacklist hits Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U. Gamestop is still offering preorder bonuses and the collector's edition is up for grabs if you can sneak over to your local games retailer by release on August 20th, 2013.
