Stardew Valley 1.4 Update

Stardew Valley 1.4 update will feature a new farm map

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone recently shared some details about the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.4 update in a tweet. As you can see below, the tweet features a picture of an all-new farm map called Four Corners. Barone also shared that this update is “a big one” and that “this image only reveals a fraction of what is coming.”

This tweet by Barone comes a few days after another round of tweets, where he assured fans that the update was coming along great and was packed with tons of new stuff. There is currently no expected launch date for the Stardew Valley 1.4 update, but it is confirmed to be coming to PC first and then to console and mobile shortly after.

The new Four Corners map in Stardew Valley aims to be perfect for fulfilling the separate money option in multiplayer mode, which players have been requesting. According to Barone, for players that already have an existing multiplayer farm, their money will remain shared. If they want to separate their farm, they can go to the Mayor’s office and request a separation, and the money will be split evenly. Additionally, they can rejoin farms through the same process.

There is also going to be a shared cave, community center, mines, and more, where players will be working together to achieve common goals. However, the update does aim to make gameplay a bit more independent which Barone promises will “lead to some interesting gameplay.” For players who would rather play solo, the new map will also be available in single player.

While no one knows when the Stardew Valley 1.4 update is coming, it is nice to get a few more details about what it is going to look like. Stardew Valley is available on PC, consoles, Switch, and mobile devices. In fact, it just recently made its way to Android last month.
