Firaxis Announces Ace Patrol For iOS Next Week

2K Games and Firaxis revealed Sid Meier's Ace Patrol for iOS today, announcing that the game will be available on iOS next thursday, May 9th. Instead of blasting aliens with ray guns, Ace Patrol gives players control over 30 vintage, historical WWI aircrafts in more than 120 missions.

Different Aces have different skills so assembling a team is all about choice. As you play you can upgrade and promote your top fighter pilots in the campaign, or go head to head in two-player either passing the device or asynchronously online with Game Center.

Have you ever played a pass-it game while waiting in line at an amusement park? Never has Disneyland been more enjoyable than when handing a Game Boy Advance with Advance Wars around all day. Ace Patrol joins other iOS favorites in including the option, but I don't think those other guys can say they were conceived, designed, and programmed by Sid Meier himself.

We'll have more on Sid Meier's Ace Patrol through launch. Click the images below to engorge them.
