Fortnite x Avengers Iron Man

Fortnite x Avengers Iron Man teased in new image

With the release of Avengers Endgame in theaters less than 48 hours away, a Fortnite x Avengers Iron Man image has been released on Twitter. The image shows Iron Man’s iconic hand repulsors. The tease is the third Avengers related image released by Epic Games this week.

The fIron Man image, like the others that preceded it, gives little away about the upcoming event. The Iron Man tease shows Fortnite’s balaclava and mic wearing avatar wearing the forearm portion of Tony Stark’s signature armor. The image falls in-line with the others in just featured one element of the Avengers character, rather than a Fortnite character fully transformed into a Marvel hero.

Each tweet has featured the date May 25. The images appear likely to be teasing Fortnite’s second Marvel crossover FTM. Yesterday, an image featuring Thor’s Stormbreaker weapon appeared on the Fortnite Twitter. Monday saw an image of a Fortnite character wielding Captain America’s famous shield. Despite the event being tomorrow, little else is known about the event and it is not yet clear how Epic Games will incorporate the three iconic Avengers characters into Fortnite.

The previous Marvel crossover was the Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet FTM and featured only one special character. The crossover allowed players to transform into Thanos if they managed to get their hands on the gauntlet in-game. The infinity gauntlet gave the players four different superpowers to defeat other competitors in the game.

Away from the upcoming Fortnite x Avengers LTM, Fortnite was in the news for cracking down on cheaters in the current World Cup tournament. Over 1,000 players were caught. On a more positive note, the game appears to be adding Battle Pass Gifting in the near future.

Avengers Endgame is set for release in theaters in the US on May 26 (the UK release date is a day earlier on May 25).
