Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character

Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character enters the fray

Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character will be the latest champion to join the roster of the King of Iron Fist Tournament according to a very credible and totally real announcement from the game’s official Twitter account. If you’re unfamiliar with Tekken lore, Katsuhiro Harada is the longtime game producer and director of the Tekken series of games. He’s been at it for well over two decades and is rumored to possess the ability to make a game sell a million copies simply by staring at the Nikkei Index website and concentrating really hard.

Apparently, Mr. Harada’s longtime stewardship of the Tekken series has earned him a place in the annals of legend: a Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character will be joining the game as the newest fighter. Harada-san is shown rendered in the game’s engine and sporting a stylish grey suit, blue tie, and some killer sunglasses. After all, if you’re going to get down and dirty with some of the deadliest fighters in the world, you may as well show up dressed to the nines.

Take a look at the Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character announcement on Twitter for yourself:

No moveset or other details about this new character has been announced. One may want to pay particular attention to today’s date and note the sheer silliness of such an announcement. That’s right folks — the Katsuhiro Harada Tekken character is an April Fool’s joke. Well, it’s probably an April Fool’s joke; after all, this is a game that has both an unlockable boxing kangaroo and an unlockable bear, respectively. Putting the game’s longtime producer in as an actual fighter is the crazy kind of thing they might actually do one day.

As one might expect, quite a few people on Twitter have already caught on to the joke. Unsurprisingly, quite a few people have also expressed their enthusiasm for seeing an industry legend immortalized in his own game franchise in such a fashion. It’s an amusing bit to be sure, but maybe we’ll see Tekken really shoot for the moon and actually put Harada-san in the game.
