Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer

Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer shows off card battle action

The Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer is here and it gives us a solid first look at the newest (and possibly weirdest) game from the Dragon Ball franchise! If you’re unfamiliar with Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission, it’s a strange sort of game set in an alternate universe. Essentially, kids play a card game where the characters of the Dragon Ball universe are part of a card game. Some mystical shenanigans cause these heroes and villains to bleed over into the real world, and that gives us the wacky mix of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball that is this game.

The opening moments of the Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer shows off a couple of in-game scenes and the logo before highlighting the story. We get to see the game’s protagonist Beat put on a superhero suit, before the trailer transitions into Arcade mode. Arcade Mode shows us some of the game’s battle mechanics, although its a bit hard to follow along with the whole thing as the trailer is in Japanese.

Next up is the creation mode and this may very well be one of the coolest things shown in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer. Players will be able to create custom cards using a wide variety of art from the Dragon Ball universe. (Beat that, Yugi.) The final moments of the trailer are spent showing off well-known characters from the Dragon Ball universe like Goku and Vegeta along with some mysterious new characters.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission should be a pretty interesting experience for fans of card games, RPGs, and Dragon Ball alike. You’ll be able to get your hands on it for the Nintendo Switch on April 5, 2019. In the meantime, you can watch the Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission launch trailer for yourself below.
