Go To Your New Happy Place In Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Do what you wanna do? Be who you wanna be? Isn't that real life? Why do I need to play a game to live my life the way I want to live? Oh… because real life has responsibilities and sucks, and we're talking about video games here. This new trailer from Nintendo proclaims Animal Crossing: New Leaf your new happy place.

A lot of the features in this trailer are standard fair for Animal Crossing though. The citizens, the shops, the fashions… it all seems pretty similar to past Animal Crossings. Hey, you can even fish and make friends with your animal neighbors. None of this is new.

But Animal Crossing: New Leaf burned up Japanese sales charts earlier this year, and this trailer barely touches on the major feature that catapulted New Leaf into 3DS handhelds everywhere: you're the mayor. That's right, that old, slow turtle has been ejected from the halls of power and now you run your own town. "Brought to you by the Mayor's office" indeed!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf will arrive on North American store shelves (and the eShop) June 9th. We'll have more on the game in the lead up to release, so keep that 3DS web browser locked to GameRevolution. Uhh, but you should probably keep your regular browser locked here too.
