LucasFilm Confirms Star Wars 1313 Development Has Been “Halted”

Just yesterday, the news broke that Disney was closing LucasArts, leaving the fate of the studio's current projects  in question. LucasFilm has now provided some clarification, and it isn't too pretty.

LucasFilm spokesperson Miles Perkins told the BBC that "both current Star Wars games projects have been halted." That means both Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault will quite likely never see the light of day. What a shame.

Of course, this doesn't rule out the possibility of either title being licensed out to an external studio, but without the incredible backing LucasArts originally had behind it, whatever Star Wars 1313 may ever end up being will likely not live up to the amazing potential we first saw last year.
