Angry Birds Take Flight on Google Chrome

You could say I'm a little obsessed with chrome. My car is decked out in it (yes I'm one of those people), chrome rims and all. But despite my love for shiny objects and being able to stare at my handsome reflection in nearly every inch of my car, there is one type of chrome I love even more.

Google Chrome is my browser of choice. Long before I was an Android guy, I was enjoying the lightweight speed of Google's flagship browser. Google has been hard at work refining the experience, allowing for apps, plugins, themes and more. But this latest development is the very best yet.

At their I/O conference in San Francisco, Google made a slew of announcements. Not many pertaining to gaming, except for one stand out. As browser-based gaming grows, you're going to need a faster and faster browser to render the graphics. Google is showing off Chrome's speed by bringing Rovio's Angry Birds to the browser.

It's not just playing the game online, either. Angry Birds for Google Chrome can be played offline, as the game is stored in your browser's cache. It even features Google Chrome exclusive levels called "chrome dimension" that resembles Chrome's aesthetics.

Angry Birds for Google Chrome is available to install now via the Chrome Web Store. I sincerely hope that Google realizes that they just killed at-work productivity tenfold. Even though I'm still on the clock, I'm far too tied up in taking down some smug, evil green pig pricks.
