Wargroove release date

Wargroove release date announced (and it’s sooner than you think)

The Wargroove release date has been announced in the most recent Nintendo Direct indie stream, and it’s surprisingly much sooner than we might have thought. This upcoming turn-based strategy game from Chucklefish aims to be a spiritual successor to the classic Advance Wars games and it’s come to light that players will be able to get their hands on it pretty soon. Wargroove is all set to launch on the PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on February 1, 2019. That’s right, Chucklefish’s newest game will be ready to play next week!

The announcement of the Wargroove release date has been supplemented by a blog post on the game’s official website. The blog post highlights the just-released Cinematic Trailer which hearkens back to classic sword and sorcery animation with a bit of a modern flare. The animation for the Wargroove Cinematic Trailer was created by The Line, a British animation studio that’s worked on various projects including one for the Gorillaz’s album The Now Now and an animated mecha extravaganza for Blizzard Entertainment’s Heroes of the Storm.

Unfortunately, PS4 players are going to have to wait a little while longer to get their hands on the game. While the Wargroove release date has been announced for most platforms, the PS4 release date is simply noted as “coming soon” in the blog post. On the flip side of the coin, Nintendo Switch Customers are able to pre-order the game right now on the Nintendo eShop. PC customers can simply add Wargroove to their Steam wishlist if they’d like. Wargroove will launch at a price point of $19.99/£15.99/€16.99 or your regional equivalent. The game will be playable in ten different languages on release.

You can see the Cinematic Trailer announcing the Wargroove release date below. Wargroove will be making its way to PC, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on February 1, 2019, with the PS4 version to follow at a later date.
