Anthem Open Demo Announced

Anthem Open Demo Announced

EA has announced an Anthem open demo giving all players the opportunity to experience the game before launch. The Anthem open demo will run from February 1 to February 3, 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

If this Anthem open demo isn’t soon enough for you, you can also wiggle your way into the VIP demo. To be able to participate in the VIP demo, players need to be either EA Access or Origin Access subscribers during the demo’s tenure or have pre-ordered the game. This demo will run from January 25 to 27.

Being a member of one of EA’s subscriptions will automatically register your eligibility for the VIP demo. The same applies for pre-ordering through Origin, Xbox Store, and PlayStation Store. If you’ve pre-ordered through a different retailer, you will require a code to enter to gain access. EA advises that you will need to contact the retailer to get this code.

While that’s only a week earlier than the open demo, participating in the VIP demo will also grant players a special item for bragging rights. You can of course also participate in the Anthem open demo afterwards too, getting extra Anthem practice in before release.

It’s worth noting you’ll also need to download the demo which will become available to preload closer to the date. You’ll also need a persistent internet connection to participate.

This demo announcement comes just after the recent closed alpha that some players were able to experience to get their Anthem fix. If all this isn’t enough to satiate your need of BioWare’s upcoming game, we also saw a new story trailer for Anthem at The Game Awards earlier this month.

Anthem is set to launch on February 22, 2019 across PS4, Xbox One, and PC but if you have early access through one of EA’s subscriptions, you can start playing from February 15.
