Mixed Darksiders 3 Reviews

THQ Nordic CEO Isn’t Bothered By Mixed Darksiders 3 Reviews

The CEO of THQ Nordic isn’t all that bothered by mixed Darksiders 3 reviews. While the game has had some issues with its performance on PC and consoles, THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors is still pretty happy with how things have turned out.

Fans had been waiting six years for the franchise to continue. A Chapter 11 bankruptcy resulted in the closure of the series’ original developer Vigil Games and understandably delayed any plans for a sequel. Gunfire Games – a company that includes many former Vigil employees – has since picked up the torch and continued their work with the newest release. Unfortunately, their return to the franchise has resulted in mixed Darksiders 3 reviews.

Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors is nonetheless happy with the game’s reception despite mixed Darksiders 3 reviews. “The promise we made was to deliver a game to the fans of the franchise, and I’m really proud of it,” he said. The game has had its fair share of problems including issues with combat and framerate stuttering, but the team at Gunfire Games has been hard at work rectifying issues where they can. The Apocalypse Edition had also presented several “logistic challenge[s]” that resulted in a bit of overtime to get everything out the door in a decent fashion.

Mr. Wingefors acknowledges that the mixed Darksiders 3 reviews could be attributed to some of the players “not enjoying this kind of product”. Even so, he’s optimistic that things will be alright in the end. He seems to be a gamer at heart that believes in his team and believes that they can make a good product. If they manage to get everything right (even if it’s a little late), Mr. Wingefors is pretty sure that things will be just fine, especially with a potential Fourth Horseman still to come.
