Senator Claims Video Games Are “A Bigger Problem Than Guns”

According to Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander, video games are a bigger issue than guns as we seek to prevent violence in the United States.

"I'm going to wait and see on all of these bills," he said on MSNBC's The Daily Rundown. "I think video games is a bigger problem than guns, because video games affect people." Besides the glaring grammatical issue with his statement, doesn't that argument seem a bit flawed?

Alexander went on to add that while he believes it's an issue, he doesn't think much will change. "But the First Amendment limits what we can do about video games and the Second Amendment to the Constitution limits what we can do about guns. So the details matter to me. I'm going to be skeptical of any of these proposals and examine them in light of the Second Amendment to the Constitution."

What do you think of Senator Alexander's comments? Are they way off base or right on the money? Let us know by providing your two cents below.
