Crackdown 3 Release Date Announced at Xbox X018

The Crackdown 3 release date has finally been announced at Microsoft’s X018’s event. The game was originally scheduled to come out in 2017, then it was pushed to spring 2018. After spring 2018 came and went, the Crackdown 3 release date got pushed back yet again to February 2019. Well, we finally have a solid day. Crackdown 3 will come out on February 15, 2019 on the Xbox One and PC.

Crackdown 3 has seen multiple delays since its announcement in E3 2014. It was being pushed out of multiple years. After many interruptions, the game was thought to have been knocked out of 2018. Those reports ended up being true as Microsoft confirmed the delay just before E3 2018.

Microsoft revealed that the game is definitely coming in 2019 and also is “the final delay.” However, it is always good to remember that a game is not out until it is actually out because anything can happen.

Managing Director at Sumo Digital Paul Porter described that it was delayed to “meet the expectations of the franchise.” Crackdown 2 was widely considered as a disappointment so it seems as thought Sumo Digital wants to avoid repeating that game’s mistakes.

And, as usually for first-party titles like Forza Horizon 4 and Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3 will launch of Xbox Game Pass.
