Spyro Remastered Launch Trailer

Spyro Reignited Trilogy Launch Trailer Released

Publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob have released a new Spyro Remastered launch trailer in anticipation of its upcoming release date. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is slated to release for the PS4 and Xbox One on November 13, 2018. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy launch trailer showcases a variety of gameplay footage from the remastered versions of all three original Spyro games.

The Spyro Remastered launch trailer begins with the unveiling of the iconic purple dragon breathing fire onto the behind of an unsuspecting sheep. It later shows direct comparisons between the original Spyro games as they were on the PS1 with the impressive scaled-up visuals of the upcoming remastered trilogy. Even gamers who have never played the classic Spyro games will be able to notice the stark improvement in graphical quality.

The trailer also features the variety of mini-games that will be available in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, including ice skating, skateboarding, flying through rings mid-air, challenging obstacle courses, and more. Veteran fans of the franchise will also appreciate the cameos from various supporting characters and antagonists.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy launch trailer ends with different dragons uttering Spyro’s name and what seems to be a homage to the developer of the original Spyro games. The eclipsing moon at the end of the trailer looks like the previous logo used by Insomniac Games, the original developers of 1998’s Spyro the Dragon, 1999’s Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage, and 2000’s Spyro Year of the Dragon.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy was initially supposed to release in September before being delayed to November. No official reason was given for the delay, but Toys for Bob Co-Studio Head Paul Yan implied that the developer required more time to polish the game. In the meantime, check out the Spyro Remastered launch trailer below to tide you over until the game arrives next month.
