Spider-Man PS4 DLC The Heist Reveals Three New Suits

Insomniac Games has revealed that three new suits will be arriving in the upcoming Spider-Man PS4 DLC The Heist. The first of three planned episodic releases, The Heist will launch next week on October 23, 2018. Besides revealing the three new suits, the developer has also confirmed that there will be a brand new faction of enemies to fight, as well as new crimes, new challenges, and new trophies to collect.

According to PlayStation Blog and Insomniac Games Game Director Ryan Smith, the three new Spider-Man PS4 DLC suits includes the Resilient Suit, which is based on an original design by Marvel illustrator Gabriele Dell’Otto. The other two suits will be instantly familiar to fans of Spider-Man comics, including the Scarlet Spider II suit (also known as Kaine’s Scarlet Spider suit), and the Spider-UK suit from the popular Spider-Verse crossover event in 2014. Take a look at them below.

The Spider-Man PS4 DLC The Heist will begin with a robbery at an art museum, which puts Spider-Man and MJ on a collision course with Felicia Hardy, better known as the Black Cat. The Heist will only be the first part of the storyline in Spider-Man PS4 DLC The City That Never Sleeps. Gamers can purchase The Heist for $9.99, or the entire The City That Never Sleeps for $24.99. However, owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will receive the whole DLC for no additional cost.

In other related news, Insomniac Games’ version of Spider-Man recently officially entered comic book canon in the ongoing Spider-Geddon crossover. A glimpse of the white Spider-Man PS4 suit was also seen in the latest trailer for the upcoming animated movie Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse trailer. Only a month has passed the game’s initial launch, and Spider-Man PS4 is already on track to becoming a pop culture phenomenon.
