Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass owners are in for an Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered sized treat in March 2019. Originally announced as part of the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC, Ubisoft has announced the Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered upgrades. Ubisoft didn’t go into too much detail regarding the remastered third game at the time. However, we know now exactly what kind of new features are coming to the re-release of the 2012 title.
Ubisoft today released a FAQ page regarding Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. It goes into some detail as to what upgrades are being implemented before the game releases next year. What’s more, Ubisoft explains that it will be “adding more information as it becomes available.” It seems as though the upgrades listed below are just for starters. It’s not only improved textures and resolutions, however.
The full list of Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered upgrades (as of writing) is as follows:
- 4K resolution upscaling and HDR on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC.
- 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One.
- “Higher resolution textures.”
- “New character models.”
- Improved lighting via a “Physically Based Rendering” lighting rendering system.
- Denser crowds, environments, and improved VFX.
Alongside these improvements, Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered also includes all of the game’s DLC. The Benedict Arnold Missions, Hidden Secrets Pack, Tyranny of King Washington (all three episodes), and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered are all included as standard. Liberation Remastered also includes the improved lighting, textures, and VFX. All of the content, including Liberation Remastered, is in 4K on the PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC.
