Samsung Galaxy A9 Leak

Samsung Galaxy A9 Leak Reveals 4 Cameras

A recent Samsung Galaxy A9 leak has revealed that the device will have four rear-facing cameras. This feature of the new device has been rumored before. However, this is the most concrete evidence for this feature of the Korean company’s new device. There is currently no news regarding an official reveal for the smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 leak from Twitter user Evan Blass has uncovered that the device will have four lenses on the back. The multiple cameras will be:

  • An eight-megapixel, 120-degree wide angle lens
  • A 10-megapixel telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom
  • The main lens which will be 24-megapixels
  • and a 5-megapixel “depth camera”

The leak has also revealed that these four cameras will be on the side of the device. The image leaked by Blass also shows that the device may have a fingerprint scanner on the back, much like the Google Pixel line of smartphones. Previous rumors have also revealed more of the specifications for Samsung’s new phone.

The screen will be 6.38 inches with an FHD+ display. This means that it will have a resolution of 2220×1080 pixels. The previously leaked images of the device have shown that it will still have bezels on the screen. This is instead of the recent trend of smartphones featuring edge-to-edge screens with notches to fit the front-facing camera and other sensors.

These last two specs mean that the device will be a mid-range device, rather than some kind of bleeding-edge flagship smartphone. This is not a new approach for Samsung, however. The A series of phones have been all been middle-level devices with unique features, such as the A7 and its two cameras. The phone may be revealed as early as October 11 if leaks and rumors are believed to be true.
