New Total War Warhammer 2 DLC Curse of the Vampire Coast

New Total War Warhammer 2 DLC Curse of the Vampire Coast Revealed

Remember that Total War announcement teased by Creative Assembly last week? The tease has turned out to be an upcoming new Total War Warhammer 2 DLC. The Total War Warhammer 2 Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC reveal comes alongside a new cinematic trailer showcasing the new undead vampire hordes in action. It is slated to launch for the PC on November 8, 2018.

The Curse of the Vampire Coast Campaign Pack will add four new Legendary Lords, a new Lore of Magic called The Lord of the Deep, as well as an entire bunch of new roster additions. Players can look forward to commanding towering constructs, ghastly pincered sea-beasts, ghoulish horrors and musket-wielding zombie pirate hordes on the opposing side. These can all be seen wreaking havoc in the epic new trailer.

Additionally, the new Total War Warhammer 2 DLC will be adding brand new campaign mechanics, including treasure maps, shipbuilding, a new infamy mechanic, establishing pirate coves, fleet offices, and eight new Regiments of Renown. New battle mechanics will also be added to spice up the gameplay, with the More Powder and Extra Powder perks to ensure replenishing ammo and missile buffs, respectively.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that new Total War Warhammer 2 DLC will be featuring undead vampire pirates, naval battles will remain unavailable in the game. To mitigate this, the developer has added two new battle types in the game: Island Battles and Black Ark Battles. During naval encounters, players can choose to fight the battle on land, instead of auto-resolving each time.

Players who pre-order the new Total War Warhammer 2 DLC will receive a 10 percent discount on Steam. Creative Assembly has also confirmed that Curse of the Vampire Coast will be coming to Mac and Linux shortly after the game officially releases on those platforms. In the meantime, check out the Total War Warhammer 2 Curse of the Vampire Coast DLC trailer below.
