New Monolith Soft Games

Monolith Soft Working on Two Unannounced Games

Two new Monolith Soft games are being teased on the company’s website and job listings have materialized for Monolith’s 1st Production development department. This is the same studio that developed all three of the Xenoblade Chronicles games, and it is looking to bring people in to work on an RPG game.

Gematsu found the job listings on Monolith Soft’s recruitment website. The company is looking to bring in several new staff for an upcoming RPG project. Programmers are needed for graphics, character control, and AI. Designers, too, are required for map modeling, in-game animation, character models, character designs, and even script event creators. On top of all this, Monolith Soft wants planners, management, and support staff for what sounds like a big project.

Adding more credence to the mainline RPG theory is a tweet from global market researcher Stealth on Twitter. He noticed that two new Monolith Soft games are being teased as project notices on the company’s website. He argues that “one [is] for the game everyone is speculating is a new IP and the other for what is likely the next Xeno game.”As it stands, however, we don’t know what the two new games are.

You can see his tweet below:

Monolith Soft has been a busy development studio ever since Nintendo acquired its rights. Alongside the development of Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (along with its recent DLC Torna The Golden Country), Monolith has lent a helping hand to Nintendo on many other games. You’ll see Monolith Soft’s name in the credits of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and many more. Typically, the company helps Nintendo in polishing games, adding a bit of the old spit and shine to the graphics.

We’ll let you know all there is to know about the new Monolith Soft games as soon as we get more information.
