XCOM 2 War of the Chosen Free Tactical Legacy Pack DLC Coming to PC Next Week

Firaxis Games has announced the XCOM 2 War of the Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack DLC, which will be arriving for the PC on October 9, 2018. To celebrate the support of the entire XCOM community of players over the past six years, the new DLC pack will be free to download for all owners of XCOM 2 War of the Chosen expansion on Steam until 12:59 p.m. ET on December 3, 2018.

The XCOM 2 War of the Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack DLC includes new four new gameplay modes, including Legacy Ops, Central’s Archives, Resistance Archives, and Skirmish Mode. Central’s Archives will focus on the untold story of what happened in between the events of XCOM Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2. Besides that, a total of 28 new maps will be added to the game, which includes remastered maps from previous titles in the franchise.

Additionally, players can look forward to new weapons and armor such as reimagined versions of laser and plasma weapons from XCOM Enemy Unknown, the 2012 entry in the strategy series. The Tactical Legacy Pack DLC will also add new customization and photo booth options, as well as new soundtrack options. Veterans of the franchise will appreciate an all-new soundtrack inspired music from the classic XCOM UFO Defense.

Last but not least, there will be an offline challenge mode, in which players will be able to play through more than 100 of XCOM 2 War of the Chosen challenges. After December 3, the Tactical Legacy Pack DLC will be available for $7.99.

The developer has confirmed that the XCOM 2 War of the Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack DLC will not be coming to console versions of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One.
