Control Announcement Teased by Remedy in New Images

Remedy Entertainment is ready to provide more information on upcoming IP Control. The Finnish video game developer has teased that a new announcement is incoming via its social media accounts. The announcement is due to be revealed at 12:00 p.m ET (5:00 p.m. BST), but there is no indication about what Remedy will discuss or show off.

Remedy took to their official Twitter account to post an image of a backpack with a couple of notable items packed into it. The bag contains two magazines, with the front cover of each depicting a character from Control and iconic Remedy franchise Max Payne. There is also an physical copy of Xbox game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in the front pocket of the satchel. No context has been provided on what this photograph means, but Remedy wants all eyes focused on its Twitter account for Control later on today.

Meanwhile, Remedy has also been busy posting pictures to its Control Instagram account. This image is different to its Twitter one, and seems to show off the corner of a building. The building in question is the Old House – the setting for Control – but we can only see a tiny piece of one corner of it. The rest of the image is made up of a blue sky background but, if you visit the official account, the rest of the building can be seen on other images.

With such a presence on their social media channels, rumors are rife that Remedy are about to drop Control‘s official release date. Until the video game developer states so, however, their announcement is merely up for speculation at this point. Control, which will be published by 505 Games, is due to be released in 2019, and will be available to play on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
