Homefront Gets Multiplayer Demo

I liked Homefront. I mean, I liked parts of Homefront. What I mean is: Homefront was a mixed bag. Unfortunately, THQ seemed to market Homefront's weakest points.

When everything about Homefront hammered on the alt-history set-up for the game, penned by some big Hollywood writer that I don't remember anymore. In the end, Homefront's single player kind of sucked. It was disappointing!

If you're wondering why I still gave the game high marks, you can find out for yourself soon as THQ will be releasing a multiplayer demo in the coming weeks. THQ CEO Brian Farrell spoke with investors on the phone about Homefront's performance and that said demo will "stimulate more new users and purchasers of the game."

In order to keep those new purchasers entertained, THQ plans several downloadable content packages. I'd say THQ was probably a little disappointed with Homefront's performance, but if you give the multiplayer a shot, I guarantee you'll find a lot to like in the game's blend of Battlefield and Call of Duty.
