Groove Coaster 1.2 Update Brings 10 Free New Songs Next Week

The price of Groove Coaster is about to get easier to swallow thanks to 10 free songs set for the Groove Coaster 1.2 update. The update is set to go live at 7 p.m. PDT on September 11. Four songs will also be available for a limited time every week following the patch.

TAITO issued a surprise release with Groove Coaster on PC last month. It was a port of a free-to-play rhythm iOS game by the famous Space Invaders studio that was in itself a port of an impressively futuristic arcade game.

Groove Coaster 1.2 will address concerns brought up by Steam reviews commonly criticizing the game’s small tracklist that only had 36 songs. Bumping it up to 46 should help alleviate some of those concerns. Additional tunes have previously been made available through Steam as purchasable DLC. The 10 songs set to arrive with the free Groove Coaster 1.2 update are as follows:

The four tracks span the TAITO Retro Game DLC and will, as the name suggests, feature tracks from older TAITO games. Each will be available for a one-week period and will be available for download for $1.99 thereafter. The four tracks are as follows;
