CD Projekt Red is currently broadcasting a Twitch stream labelled “DATA TRANSMISSION IN PROGRESS_” with the listed game being played as Cyberpunk 2077, leading many to suspect that we might finally see publicly-available Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay at some point today. The stream began earlier today, and at the moment it consists purely of what appears to be base64 code.
As it currently stands, Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay has only been accessible by members of the press behind closed doors at events and expos, most notably E3 and Gamescom 2018. It was generally assumed that this is because CD Projekt Red hasn’t yet been happy enough with the presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 to show it off to the public yet. That might change today, because there’s currently a Twitch stream being broadcasted onto CD Projekt Red’s channel titled “DATA TRANSMISSION IN PROGRESS_”, and the game tag of the stream? “Cyberpunk 2077.”
Nobody can say anything for sure right now, on account of the fact that the stream consists entirely of a stream of base64 code, which will no doubt be translated within the next day — It’s rumoured that new screenshots of the game will be hidden in this code. But whether something actually comes of the stream, there are no official confirmations. But, I’d been digging around to see if there’s anything online that might give us some clues, and Resetera forum users have done a good job of sourcing some stuff.
Today is going to be a very, very, VERY good day for anyone looking forward to @CyberpunkGame

Just under an hour ago, video game content producer Skill Up tweeted that “today is going to be a very, very, VERY good day” for people looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. This isn’t indicative of anything specific and certainly isn’t a confirmation of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay, but at the very least it gives us something to go on. Earlier today, again, Multiplayer.it Editorial Coordinator posted on Facebook that he and Editorial Manager Umberto Moioli would be streaming a “top secret announcement.” Despite this post not mentioning Cyberpunk 2077 by name, the fact that it coincides with CD Projekt Red’s Twitch stream and that “a very famous developer” is referred to suggests a connection.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on this Twitch stream for whatever comes of it, be it Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay or otherwise, so stay tuned for more to come.
