Apple Allows Rip Off of Nintendo’s Mario, People Notice

I checked. It's too late to play this hilariously horrible rip-off of Mario on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Monino, the title of a game that at first, second, and last glance is a complete rip of Super Mario has already been taken down from Apple's App Store.

While it was still available, Monino existed as another reminder of the slap-fighting Nintendo and Apple have done over the past year or so. In case you've been under a rock or don't pay attention to the business of games, Nintendo and Apple are competing for children.

The more children they have the more dollars they make. It's all about dollars. Back to Monino though:

The protagonist of this game named Monino, in the story of this game, Monino's brother was captured by a monster named Bowler–

BOWLER! HAHAHAHA.

–he is on the road to Bowler's castle to rescue his brother, a lot of monsters in different levels are waiting for him, would you like to join Monino's rescue action? Go!

It's too bad we didn't grab Monino while it was still available. It could have been a great collector's item… not that the lack of physical media allows for collecting at all.
