Iconoclasts Switch Version Coming Next Week

Iconoclasts, the popular 2D indie hit, is arriving on the Nintendo Switch next week. In a new trailer, which you can find below, the developer of the game Konjak announced the August 2nd release date for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

The August 2nd date also marks a free update for the game. The update includes a boss rush mode along with “a new challenge setting for more relaxed players”  according to the video’s description. All these updates will also be included in the Switch version of the game as well. It will retail for $19.99 on the US Switch eShop.

The Metroidvania game reviewed well, with many praising it. However, some reviewers found the game to be slightly unfair at times. However, with the new challenge settings, it could do better, especially for the Switch’s more casual players.

This game looks like the perfect fit for Nintendo’s portable console-hybrid. With its puzzle-based platform design, it will be perfect for playing on the go (or in your bed). For myself personally, I have been waiting for the game to arrive on the Switch before purchasing it. For all of the above reasons, as well as the fact that it is now more polished than it was before. Add to that the new features and it is a game you cannot miss on the Nintendo Switch. It is also fantastic to see this labor of love being ported to another gaming giant’s console since it really deserves the love it is getting by the looks of it.

But what do you think? Are you going to finally pick Iconoclasts like I am to play while you’re relaxing in bed? Or will you jump back in if you have already got it because of the new features being introduced? Sound off in the comments below!
