Middle-Earth: Shadow of War released last year and since then developer Monolith Productions have been steadily updating the game. The updates have brought many changes and improvements to Shadow of War, which has helped to cure some of the game’s problems. The new update (Patch 14) for Shadow of War is massive and it drops today.
The huge new update for Shadow of War brings some big changes to the game which fans will like. Earlier in the year, Monolith said that the market and microtransactions would be removed. Those have now been eradicated from the game and have been replaced with the Garrison. Orcs that you recruit from Online Vendettas and Ranked Conquests will be stored in the Garrison. You can now spend in-game Mirian to customize, train, and upgrade your army.
The post-game epilogue which is called “Shadow Wars” was something that people had issues with. The Shadow Wars chapter has now been streamlined for a better experience and it will now include narration from characters such as Shelob and the Witch-King. Players who complete the endgame content will be rewarded with Nazgul masks, which will give you new abilities including being able to raise the dead.
The level cap has been increased to 80 which means you can make Talion even stronger. There are also greater XP rewards for defeating Captains, Nemesis missions and online fortress assaults. There are new Prestige Skills which are available after Act III. The update brings some new skins to the game including one of your companion, Celebrimbor.
Improvements have been made to the Nemesis System, with the addition of more Legendary Orcs to encounter, and followers can now surprise you with gifts. Players can now turn off the savior feature in the menu, if you think members of your army have been stealing your kills. The massive update also brings a ton of fixes for bugs, which can be read about in the patch notes.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
