Has the constant pounding taken its toll on your current Xbox One controller? Now might be the time to get in on this new and rather dapper looking white Xbox controller that has just been announced by Microsoft. It’s called the Sport White Special Edition Controller and is the first in new Sport series of Xbox controllers.
Microsoft describes this new Xbox One controller as having a “Fresh white design” with “Mint and silver accents” and features and rubberized diamond grip. This rubberized grip is an interesting addition, and according to Microsoft it provides greater comfort and increases accuracy with less slippage. The controller offers wireless functionality via Bluetooth so no extra dongles required. Rounding out the details, it comes with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and custom button mapping. The official product page lists compatibility with the Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox One and Windows 10.
But there is more! Also announced is the Sport White Special Edition Xbox Pro Charging Stand that matches the design and colors of this new Xbox controller. The package includes the stand (no kidding), battery cover, rechargeable battery and a 6-foot power cord. It’s priced at $49.99 and is available in North America starting August 7. No mention of availability elsewhere in the world just yet.

This new Sport White Special Edition Xbox controller is available for pre-order right now for $69.99 with a shipping date of July 31 in North America and everywhere else on August 7. According to Microsoft, this controller will come with 14-day trials for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass in select markets. As if you needed any more motivation to buy one of these!
