Xbox Game Pass July Releases Includes Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The titles coming to Xbox Game Pass have just been announced with launches between July 1 and July 11. After the big reveal at E3 of Fallout 4 and The Division coming to Game Pass, we’ll also be getting Fallout 3Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and Warhammer: Vermintide 2.

There are now over 100 games bundled in with Xbox Game Pass, and we’ll be getting some more especially good ones in July. On July 1, we’ll see DiRT 4Zombie Army TrilogyABZUShadow Complex RemasteredHuman Fall Flat, and the two big blockbuster highlights, Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. On July 10, we’ll get Bomber Crew, an FTL: Faster Than Light style WWII bomber plane management game, and on July 11 Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be added to the Game Pass.

Recently, the Xbox Game Pass has received a huge amount of praise. And it’s no surprise, at $9.99 a month you get a ridiculous amount of games. Some of them are pretty high-profile too, an uncommon feature for game subscription services like this. As well as all of the above-mentioned examples, there are huge titles like Rise of the Tomb RaiderGears of War 4, and Halo 5: Guardians to name a few, with many of the latest releases coming immediately to the platform.

What may be perceived as a bad business move for Microsoft but is hugely positive for consumers is the pretty phenomenal fact that the Xbox Game Pass lets you play a significant chunk of the games on both PC and your Xbox One. This might leave many PC gamers without the need to pick up a console for a lot of exclusives, but it opens up the Xbox library to people beyond the Xbox One user base. It definitely follows suit with Xbox’s willingness to adopting cross-platform play en masse, something that Sony has been reluctant to follow up on.
