Activision and Sledgehammer Games have officially announced their third DLC Pack for Call of Duty WW2. Dubbed United Front, it will add three new Multiplayer maps, a new War Mode mission and a new Nazi Zombies experience. It will be launching first for the PS4 on 26th June 2018, with no release date revealed for other platforms at the time of writing.
Activision editorial manager Kevin Kelly revealed the news via PlayStation Blog earlier today. The three new Multiplayer maps include Market Garden, Monte Cassino, and Stalingrad. Market Garden is based on the historical Operation Market Garden, where one of the largest airborne operations in the European Theatre took place. The Monte Cassino and Stalingrad maps will transport players to a war-torn Italy and Russia.
The new War Mode mission is dubbed Operation Supercharge, where players will assume the role of Field Marshal Montgomery and the Allied Forces. Their mission will be to repel the German and Italian forces from Tunisia in the Second Battle of El Alamein.
Call of Duty WW2 United Front: Nazi Zombies
Last but not least, the highly-popular Nazi Zombies mode WILL finally arrive in Call of Duty WW2. This time players will have to transport the remaining pieces of Emperor Barbarossa’s legendary sword to the edge of the world in order to kill the Undying horde for good. It will be a dangerous journey across three unique locations.
In other related news, the next Call of Duty will be a departure from all past titles as it will be the first game in the long-running franchise to not contain a single-player campaign. The upcoming game will instead focus on multiplayer, including three different Zombie modes, and its new battle royale mode, to capitalize on the success of games like Fortnite. Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on 12th October 2018.
