E3 2018: Labyrinth of Refrain Switch, PS4, and PC Release Date Revealed

It seems like every other day there is a new NIS America title on the way. Today is no different. Thanks to a new trailer, we now know that the fantastical strategy RPG Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is due to release across PS4, Steam, and Nintendo Switch in September. Gather your puppet forces and head into the Labyrinth of Refrain – many treasures await.

Indeed, NIS has given the game a September 18th release in the USA across all consoles and September 21st in Europe. The news was delivered during E3 via a fancy new trailer (which you can watch below). A September launch is a brave decision. The likes of Spider-Man, Dragon Quest XI and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are all launching then. Time will tell if the game can find an audience of its own during such a busy time for games, but we think it should do fine as a niche title.

Don’t Refrain From Entering the Labyrinth of Refrain

Players command a brigade of puppet soldiers in Labyrinth of Refrain. You are tasked with navigating the titular labyrinth, solving puzzles, battling ferocious enemies and smashing through walls in an effort to salvage rare treasures. and artifacts. Be mindful, however, as setting up your team incorrectly can cause all sorts of pain. The further you travel down the labyrinth, the more unpleasant it becomes.

NIS America games are not for the faint of heart. Titles produced by the company are commonly discussed on the message boards of the RPG faithful. Don’t let the colorful graphics and breezy music fool you, there is bound to be plenty of challenge within this labyrinth. Dive into the maze-like Labyrinth of Refrain and tackle your obstacles head-on. Strategize your path to victory with your finely crafted puppet soldier army and explore to your heart’s content. What could go wrong?
