E3 2018: Star Fox and Starlink Crossover Announced at Ubisoft E3 Event

Star Fox and Starlink crossover has been announced at E3 2018, with Ubisoft once again teaming with Nintendo in order to bring the mascot to the upcoming space combat game. The Star Fox and Star Link expansion will see the series’ familiar ship be transformed into an NFC figurine, with it able to be transported into the game and controlled by the player.

The announcement saw Ubisoft bring out Shigeru Miyamoto, who was given the very first Star Fox NFC ship as a gift. This follows on from Nintendo and Ubisoft’s partnership to bring Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle to life. The new trailer comes ahead of Nintendo’s own E3 2018 event, in which the company is rumored to feature its own Star Fox game.

The expansion will be made available exclusively to the Nintendo Switch version of the game, though Starlink will also launch on PS4 and Xbox One. The Starlink: Battle for Atlas release date was also revealed during the Ubisoft presentation.
