Kingdom Hearts 3 Special Editions Announced

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been one of the biggest games at E3 this year, with Square Enix finally announcing a release date for the much-awaited next major installment in the Kingdom Hearts franchise. And today, the publisher has also announced the game’s special editions along with a new trailer for the game which was shown during their E3 showcase.

Apart from the game’s Standard Edition, Kingdom Hearts 3 will also be available in a Deluxe Edition as well as a limited Deluxe Edition + Bring Arts Figures bundle, effectively making the latter the game’s Collector’s Edition. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99, will include the game, a Kingdom Hearts 3 steelbook, a mini art book with concept art by director Tetsuya Nomura, and a collectible Kingdom Hearts 3 pin.

The more expensive Deluxe Edition + Bring Arts Figures bundle will include everything in the aforementioned Deluxe Edition as well as a Bring Arts Sora, Donald, and Goofy figure set. The bundle will be priced at $229.99 and will be available in limited quantities so those interested might want to secure theirs early. The Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and the Deluxe Edition + Bring Arts Figures bundle are already available for pre-order at the Square Enix website for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most anticipated games of the past decade, with fans speculating its development soon after the release of Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2006. Development for the game wasn’t confirmed until 2013 though and has seen quite a number of setbacks. Now that the release date and special editions have been announced, fans can finally rest assured that the game will finally be released.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled for release on January 29, 2019, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can check out the new trailer, which features new footage from the Toy Story, Hercules, and Tangled areas of the game, below:
