Sony’s SingStar Goes Sorta Free-to-Play As In-XMB App

SingStar may not be the first game you think of when PlayStation is mentioned, but it is one of Sony's most popular franchises to date, selling a ton of copies on the PS2. And it's about to get even easier to access, by going free-to-play as an in-XMB app on the PlayStation 3.

It's not real free-to-play, though, since you'll have to buy the songs to sing. But you can access the SingStar Store for free using this app and test out a few one-minute demos of songs before buying and getting to belt out some tunes. You'll just need a mic.

Karaoke is casual fun, especially after a few drinks among friends, which makes SingStar a go to if you want to embarrass the shit out of yourself and others. I better brush up on my Cherry Pie by Warrant or hone my rhyming skills to bust out some It's Tricky by Run D.M.C.

C'mon, I can't be the only one to play SingStar, am I? Don't lie. Still no?
