E3 2018: The Elder Scrolls 6 Confirmed to Exist at Bethesda Conference

The existence of The Elder Scrolls 6 was confirmed today at E3 2018, but not much else. At some point in the future we’ll get a new single-player Elder Scrolls game, and that’s about it.

Looking at the landscape in the trailer, it doesn’t look like Skyrim since there’s no snow. Though who knows, this could take place in the distant future (or past), and Skyrim could be quite balmy. With all those Daedra always mucking about you never can tell what will happen. Given that we can see the ocean, it may be a peninsula. My bet is on High Rock or Morrowind proper, maybe that bit to the east of Vvardenfell.

We really don’t know anything about The Elder Scrolls 6, though, and anyone who says they do is likely talking out the side of their neck. For one, we don’t even know the subtitle for it yet. Every Elder Scrolls game has had a subtitle, and they’re not even far enough along to tell us what it is.

Given that this game is to come out sometime after Starfield, which itself is probably a year or two away at best, it’s likely that Elder Scrolls 6 is in preliminary development. I would be surprised if we saw anything substantial about it before E3 2019.

I have not one clue as to what systems it’ll come out on, probably PC for sure. We’ll take a wild guess and say PS5, Xbox One 2, and Nintendo 3DSwitch.
