Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight

Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight and Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight Coming to PS4 and PS Vita in Early 2019

Atlus has announced that Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight and Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight will be released in the US and Europe in early 2019. The publisher released the Japanese versions of both games earlier in May. The Persona franchise is the biggest it’s ever been internationally, thanks to the success of 2017’s Persona 5. Fans have been waiting for both rhythm games for a while now.

According to PlayStation Blog, both games will feature all of the songs from their original games, including both Japanese and English versions. They come with dual audio options, as well as English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles. There will also be unique remixes of the music by ATOLS, Lotus Juice, ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo / block.fm), Jazztronik, and more.

However, not all songs will be available from the beginning of both games. Players need to complete those initial songs to unlock more selection of songs, dancers, partners, and costumes. If you’re interested in kicking back and enjoying the music, both games include an auto-play mode, which does not count towards progression.

Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight: Social Link Events

The social links or interactions from the Persona games also appear in both games. As players complete specific songs and certain objectives, special social event scenes will be unlocked, providing fun pieces of fan service. Additionally, some social event scenes will even grant special items to players.

It remains to be seen if Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight and Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight will receive the same quirky Yakuza themed DLC content like their Japanese counterparts. It’s definitely funny seeing Persona 5 protagonist Joker as Yakuza protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, and more. For some reason, Morgana wears a Sonic costume in the Yakuza DLC.

Atlus is taking advantage of the fact that the Persona franchise has never been this popular in international regions. Now that we’re getting the rhythm spinoff games, the only thing we need now is the Persona 5 equivalent of Persona 4 Golden or Persona 3 FES.
