Star Wars Battlefront 2 Solo

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Solo Content Details and Release Date Revealed

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to receive its next content update next week as part of The Han Solo Season. Solo: A Star Wars Story is now purportedly the first Star Wars movie to flop worldwide, so it looks like any hope of bolstering game sales with this new content release is unrealistic. The Han Solo Season will add new maps, missions and playable characters when it arrives on June 12th, 2018.

According to IGN, players will be able to visit the coaxium mines on planet Kessel as depicted in the Solo movie. Five game modes will feature this new map, including Arcade, Blast, Hero Showdown, Heroes vs Villains, and Extraction. Although the Millenium Falcon is already available in the game, this time EA DICE will be adding the version of the ship as seen in the Solo movie, which belonged to Lando Calrissian.

Seeing as Han Solo, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca are already in Star Wars Battlefront 2, there will be five new Appearances or new cosmetic skins for these characters. Han will receive the Corellia Escape and Beckett’s Crew outfits while Lando will receive the Professional “Sportsman” and Raconteur outfits. Good old Chewie will receive the Epic Vandor Heist skin.

All of these, including the new Millennium Falcon and cosmetic skins, will be purchasable via Credits or Crystals. Additional updates include an updated version of the Jetpack Cargo mode, menu changes, and bug fixes. This is actually the second content update in The Han Solo Season. The first update, which arrived on May 16th, added the Jabba’s Palace map and the Hero Showdown mode.

Fun fact: The Solo movie actually had an obscure Star Wars video game easter egg. Veteran gamers might remember a pretty bad Star Wars fighting game from the late 90s. To find out what that game is, check out our feature article here.
