Stalker Visual Overhaul

Stalker Visual Overhaul Mod Is Gorgeous and Terrifying

We’re always big fans of people that go out of there way to create something marvelous, so when we heard about the Stalker visual overhaul mod we immediately had to check it out and see what it was for ourselves.

GSC Game World’s Stalker: Call of Pripyat was already a game that had a lot of great things going for it. Based in the vicinity of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor that exploded in 1986, Stalker can be considered to be a wild mixture of a first-person shooter, RPG, survival horror and immersive sim. Its world is time-consuming and adventurous in a way that keeps players coming back for, and that’s without even mentioning the makeover it’s received.

If you weren’t already scared out of your wits playing the original, you’ll really wish you had just gotten over yourself and turned the damn lights on while playing once you have a look at the ABR’s fantastic trailer. We even included the original trailer below, just in case you wanted your mind blown by how much effort has been put into this Stalker visual overhaul mod.

ABR’s Mod:

As you can see, modern visuals already make a stellar game look that just much better. Not only that, but it brings new life to the game which we’re sure many fans will appreciate. Do take a quick look at one of the original trailers of the game below, just for comparison sake.

Original:

To say there’s a difference is a huge understatement. Though one thing that isn’t different is that, despite the many changes ABR has made on the surface, of quests, characters, and enemies. To put it bluntly, these things will remain the same and thus players should not expect to see any additional content.

To check out how you can install the mod for yourself, be sure to look at its page on ModDB.
