Mega Man 11

Capcom Planning to Launch Two Major Games Before March 2019

Capcom has had a great year in 2018 so far. The release of Monster Hunter World in late January has managed to re-ignite the faith of gamers in the Japanese games giant. Now it seems that gamers will have a lot more to look forward to as the company is planning to release two major titles before the end of the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2019.

The company recently unveiled its latest financial results presentation, in which it details the strategic objectives and plans for the coming fiscal year. As part of its consumer strategies, it mentions plans to release two major titles. However, no specific details were revealed to indicate what these two games might be.

Capcom Two Major Games: What could they be?

We have a few theories. One of those could very well be a new game in the Devil May Cry franchise. Gamers have been clamoring for a true sequel to 2008’s Devil May Cry 4 after the release of DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013, which served as a reboot for the franchise. The other game could presumably be the highly-anticipated Mega Man 11, which was originally announced in December 2017.

Capcom Two Major Games: Monster Hunter World Breaks More Records

Yesterday, Capcom revealed that sales for Monster Hunter World have exceeded 7.9 million units. Now it has confirmed that the game has officially shipped more than eight million units, as of April 16th, 2018. With that in mind, the company aims to increase the growth of global sales with continued promotion and the eventual launch of the PC version, which has yet to receive a release date.

The previous fiscal year was Capcom’s most profitable year in the history of the company. In order to maintain its current home run, those two unannounced to-be-released games will have to be big hits. It is highly likely that we will receive more concrete details and information at E3 2018, which is only one month away.
