Fortnite Dusty Depot Comet

Fortnite Dusty Depot Comet Destruction Teased by Season 4 Release Date Reveal

It seems like the rumors and leaks swirling around the potential Fortnite Dusty Depot comet could be right on point. With the reveal of the Fortnite season 4 release time also came a curious image that showed four characters silhouetted against a dark backdrop and surrounded by rubble. It appeared to be a not so subtle tease of the incoming comet and the destruction it would cause. However, those taking a deeper look at the image found more clues of Dusty Depot destruction.

Fortnite Dusty Depot Comet Destruction

As discovered by FortniteINTEL, the Fortnite season 4 release date image features a clue pointing to where the incoming comet is going to land. Upon very close inspection, power lines can be seen to the right, which only appear in the middle portion of the map, between Dusty Depot and Wailing Woods.

While this isn’t an official confirmation by any means, as Epic Games could be using any random backdrop for this cool-looking teaser image, the destruction of Dusty Depot does correlate with the rumors going around.

Another popular target that players want to see destroyed is Tilted Towers. As one of the key landing areas, with a good 20-30% of players landing there each round, the city of skyscrapers attracts far too many users, leaving the rest of the map a little empty.

While the target of the Fortnite comet isn’t clear, I think we can all expect an explosive event tomorrow, once season 4 launches. If your favorite landing zone gets taken out, don’t worry, as there are many great places to land and find loot, and the developers are constantly updating the game with new places and content.

Here’s to a Happy Comet Day, and the beginning of a brand new season, with all new skins and wacky events!
