SimCity’s New Mechanics Explained In Narrated Gameplay Video

Next year's SimCity release is bold with new mechanics that de-age a series that hasn't fared well over the past two generations. What better way to explain what's new than a developer guiding you through nine minutes of gameplay?

This latest nine minute video video of SimCity is narrated by Lead Designer Stone Librande and introduces a variety of new interactions the game employs. Elements such as the data layer and zone placement are covered, and one thing you might notice is the game makes more tedious tasks such as taxation and pollution control far less of a hassle. You might also notice the environments are full of life with tons of moving elements.
