Spider-Man PS4 DLC

Spider-Man PS4 DLC Teased in New Insomniac Job Listing

A new job listing on the Insomniac Games website is possibly hinting at Spider-Man PS4 DLC. The position, acting as a writer at the developer’s Raleigh-Durham studio, will oversee ‘cinematic scripts’ as well as being required to have experience shipping an AAA game, plus previous with ‘open-world game structures.’

While the vacancy does not mention Spider-Man by name, it is highly unlikely that Insomniac are working on another title adjacent to the webslinger’s next-gen debut. The admission of open-world experience also ties together the theory that Spider-Man PS4 DLC is on its way, with the hiring of a fully-fledged writer possibly tipping Insomniac’s hand that it will being heavily story-based.

If (and let’s be clear, this is still very much unconfirmed) Spider-Man PS4 DLC is a thing, Insomniac Games look to be going all-out when it comes to Peter Parker’s next adventure. My best guess? Well, a Miles Morales standalone expansion wouldn’t go amiss…

The job opening, too, hints at more projects on the way in Insomniac’s immediate future. As the listing puts it, an applicant must be able to ‘schedule and scope on multiple projects during various stages of production.’ Clear away the business-speak and one thing is apparent: Insomniac Games are going to be busy over the next few years.

Sunset Overdrive 2? A new Ratchet and Clank? For now, Insomniac are going to be focused on Spider-Man headed into its September release date, along with any and all content that may follow it.

But it sure is exciting, isn’t it? Insomniac tend to have something on-the-go (and have done for the past 15 years give or take) so it’s hardly surprising to see them ramping up for the reveal of another big title down the line.
