The Witcher 3, Bad Game

The Witcher 3 HDR Patch Is out Now for PS4 and PS4 Pro

CD Projekt Red has finally released the long-awaited The Witcher 3 HDR patch for PS4 and PS4 Pro players. PS4 players have been waiting for HDR support ever since the Xbox One players were already given the same treatment much earlier for the Xbox One X and Xbox One S versions of the game.

Here’s the complete list of changes included in the new patch:

  • HDR support
  • various performance optimizations
  • stability improvements
  • localization bug fixing
  • minor visual improvements

With this new patch installed, PS4 players can finally enjoy beautiful HDR visuals. It’s as good a time as any to replay The Witcher 3; as if anyone needs an excuse to delve into the adventures of Geralt and Ciri again!

In other related news, Bandai Namco recently confirmed that The Witcher 3‘s Geralt of Rivia will be a playable character in its upcoming Soul Calibur 6. Geralt will be arriving with his own unique Kaer Morhen stage and will be able to make use of his signs during battle. Soul Calibur 6 is slated to release sometime in 2018 but no specific release date has been revealed at the time of writing.

CD Projekt Red also recently divulged a few details regarding its upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. Speaking at the company’s financial results conference, CEO Adam Kicinski confirmed several features, including that the actual content of what will be showcased about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2018 will be announced before the main event begins. Additionally, the game will also allow players to create their own character and that a Nintendo Switch version is highly unlikely.

This new patch might be a consolation prize for The Witcher fans as CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that there won’t be a The Witcher 4 in the future. The developer is focusing on Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent. They also said that The Witcher was envisioned as a trilogy from the beginning.
