Ubisoft has recently just announced that Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting a second year of content, a whole year after it first debuted. The newest content is said to be scheduled for a release next week, April 10th. These updates will be divided up into four, each labeled as a ‘Special Operation’ that will have a core theme that players will, later on, be able to access, giving them more options and content for both the campaign and the Ghost PVE mode.

The first major update of Ghost Recon Wildlands second year is titled Special Operation 1 and gives players the options to customize their teammates’ outfits and kits with content the player has unlocked previously during gameplay. There will also be a brand new PvP mode titled ‘Sabotage’, it comes with five unique maps and the first of six PvP classes.

It goes without saying that Ubisoft seem keen to offer a replayability to their players, particularly as Ghost Recon Wildlands will also be featuring a free themed PvE mission and a special challenge with exclusive rewards. This new update has the potential to not only bring old fans that may have given up playing the game back into the fold but may also entice new players to pick the game up. A bold move on Ubisoft’s part.

What’s more, you can pick up the Year 2 Pass for Ghost Recon Wildlands for $29.99. The pass will enable players to have seven-days early access to the six new Year 2 Ghost War PvP classes, an exclusive customization pack, and eight Battle Crates that will reward players with customization loot. Ubisoft has been finding more and more success with their post-launch content, only recently did it tell investors that thanks to how well their live service games have done players should expect more live model style games from Ubisoft going forward.
