Telltale Teases The Walking Dead’s The Final Season

Telltale games have often been the ones that tug at our heartstrings and none quite as well as their Walking Dead series. That’s why The Walking Dead’s final season, as teased on Twitter, will be news that’ll have many fans quaking in excitement. In the first season, we fell in love with the main protagonist Lee Everett and his adorable paternal friendship with a small but brave little girl named Clementine. That (spoilers ahead, look away now) didn’t end quite as well as we would have liked as Lee eventually got himself bit, which left poor Clementine having to step up and either shoot her friend or leave him to turn into a walker. Regardless of which option you picked, Clementine lived to fight another day and every season since has been from her perspective.

In the tweet below you’ll be able to see for yourselves what the last season will mean for Clementine. Check it out. But, uh, first grab some tissues.

Now before you click off, sobbing and cursing Telltale for their fantastic imagery and cunning metaphors, you should know that there will be more information about the game coming out in April at PAX. There is also a huge chance that we’ll get our very first look at the season there too, so stay excited! During a summer update that was put up on YouTube in 2017, Telltale mentioned that the final season of The Walking Dead (as well as The Wolf Among Us Season 2) would be returning in 2018, though it didn’t specify when. With the first look coming in April, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to guess that fans would only have to wait a few months more before they could have the newest season running smoothly on their chosen console or PC.

All we know is that we can’t wait to see what’s next for Clementine and the journey ahead.
