Rumor: Spyro the Dragon Treasure Trilogy to Be Revealed Today

Spyro the Dragon Treasure Trilogy will reportedly be revealed today in a surprise announcement at 1PM PST. This comes from Reddit user B4DASS, the individual who previously leaked the announcement and date of the largely anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. While there isn’t an overwhelming amount of information from this leak, nor many details in regards to how B4DASS managed to get it (aside from their claims of having a source from Activision), what we do know should leave many fans feeling excited. After all, thanks to remastered versions of other Activision games like Crash Bandicoot N Sane trilogy, many fans are hopping on the bandwagon and expressing their desire for other remasters of their favorite platformers, so Spyro the Dragon would make a fair few quite happy.

One thing that has been on the mind of many is whether this remake would keep Spyro’s cute, quirky design like in the original or resort to the newest design that has been seen in Skylanders. Personally, we hope for the former rather than the latter, though considering the rumor that this trilogy will be remade by the same people we may not have to worry too much about our favorite purple dragon looking all that different. So we can all breathe a sigh of relief. For now.

The rumor also mentions that the progress of the trilogy is going well for the most part. According to B4DASS the first two games in the trilogy are “100% done” whereas the third game is still being worked on. B4DASS also mentioned that they’ve not seen any hirings for anyone to work on an OST for the trilogy, therefore it would be safe to assume that the games will have the same OST as before.

There isn’t enough information to satisfy the hungry Spyro fans out there, but if the rumor is to be believed they won’t have to wait long before Spyro the Dragon Treasure Trilogy will be on their screens once more.
