Telltale Batman Season 2 Final Episode Gets Release Date

The second season of  the Telltale Batman series, titled Batman: The Enemy Within, has an end date. Promising “two unique finales” and “two possible Jokers”, the final episode, Same Stitch, will be available on PC and consoles from March 27.

While Telltale’s seemingly never-ending quest to craft every property ever made into an episodic adventure has slowed somewhat in recent years, the two Batman seasons have been among the company’s finest work. Taking to Twitter with a riff on The Killing Joke comic book cover, the fifth episode promises to unravel the mysteries of the Joker’s origin once and for all.

While I won’t spoil it for those who have yet to catch up, those who have played the fourth episode will know that a certain character has left Bruce Wayne (and Batman) at a bit of a crossroads. Whether The Caped Crusader ends up taking them down is anyone’s guess, though the Same Stitch will surely centre around the relationship between Batman and that mysterious figure as the season hurtles towards a conclusion. The title may hint at the story’s conclusion taking inspiration from a recent Batman comic book run, one which featured The Clown Prince of Crime cutting off his own face, then stapling and stitching it back on. It was as gross as it sounds.

What’s next for Telltale? No plans have been announced for a Telltale Batman season 3 adventure. The developers are currently working on the fourth and final season of their wildly successful The Walking Dead series, as well as the long-awaited second season for The Wolf Among Us.
